The Louis Frost Notes 1685 to 1962

OLD NO. 3 MINE

Old No. 3 was sunk about the middle of the last century by the General Mining Association, to work a small area on the Indian Cove Seam, within the Town of Sydney Mines.

The mine was abandoned when the area allotted to it between the Jubilee Mine and the crop on this seam was worked out.

Part of the area worked lay outside the leasehold later granted to the Nova Scotia Steel and Coal Company.
